Can you believe it is already march?

Next month in the appliqué group,  we will be starting a new quilt together.   It is wildflowers by P3Designs

http://www.p3designs.com/shop/product/pattern-wildflower/

I would love to have you join us.   There are 25  6" blocks in this quilt and an appliquéd border.   Because they are small, we will be making 2or3 blocks a month.

I have posted a supply list in the appliqué group, come check us out.     Gini

France's,   We picked out a pattern we liked and we will be making the blocks at the same time.  You need to order the pattern.     As I post each block,  I give tips on how to approach that block and everyone tells how their block went as they post theirs.

I taught myself to appliqué,  since then I have taken classes and have learned better techniques and have gotten tips to make it easier.

If you would like to join us,  try looking at your local library for some books on learning to appliqué.  If you are still interested, I'll give you the names of some good appliqué books.     It isn't hard, but you need to like close work.   I will help you as much as I can from here with explanations and pictures.   I can also find YouTube videos to show you just about any technique.    I would love for you to join us if you are interested.

No whizz kids here, just quilters.    There is no pressure about finishing.  Do as many as slow or fast as you like.   If you only get 4 done, you have a great center for a quilt or wall hanging or table topper.

Frances

I was just going to tell you that if they wouldn't ship it that I would be happy to get one and send it to you.   You will have so much fun working on this project with Gini's superb instruction.   She is a whiz at applique.

France's  I really do know how to spell your name.  It's just that I have one of these smart iPads?  And it keeps misspelling you.  It keeps adding an apostrophe.  So I apologize in advance if  I don't catch all those misspellings.

my dear frances,   you silly thing,  i did not call you bump,  so far i'm only apostrophizing your name, and that's the ipad being a smarty pants.

when we want to bring a thread back to the top. we reply with bump and that brings it back up.  i wanted to make sure it doesn't get lost and everyone has a chance to see what's going on.
