Count me in too.    Just finished the final touches on MQV this week and gave it to my daughter.  She is thrilled as she loves bright colors just like me.     LOL   I really need another project!

I've participated in the last two, but been too shy to share my results...Hopefully, I'll be more 'courageous' with this one!  But I am really excited!!!!

Well now Christine, there is nothing to be shy about, there are no quilt police here, be proud of what you accomplish

greenmonstr:

I guess this means I will have to finish up MQ5 - batting/backing/quilting/binding!   :-)

I have participated in all but MQ5, made two each for MQ2 and MQ3. They are in a long line of UFO's now. So no , this doesn't mean you have to finish MQ 5 before starting the next. What fun would that be.  Of course, If that is for motivational reasons, it is a good one.

Sandy, I can't wait. It just about killed me to sit the last one out.  I did download all the instructions and hope to make MQ5 this summer when school gets out. (55 school days left) but who's counting.

You're in for quite a treat.  They are so much fun.  You will get so excited trying to figure out the pattern.  But one thing I learned the hard way was, never show what you think the quilt blocks will look like until the end after it has been announced.  Let everyone have the fun of solving the mystery for themselves.

Because I'm a kindergarten teacher in a public school and during the summer I have the time to do what I want to do.  Garden, sleep late, read a book, quilt and sew.  During the week I don't have the time or the energy to quilt let alone pick up a needle.  The kids take everything you have, energy wise.  I'm hopefully only two years from retirement, God willing.  So I can see the light at the end of the tunnel but the train isn't picking up any speed at this point in time.  So counting the days is my way of knowing that I will be able have some time off soon.

Thanks mimi,

As for showing what i think the quilt blocks will look like i think you are safe on that score, it will take me 3 weeks to work out the instructions.

lots of love

Mimi,

I too am a teacher, didn't realize you were also.  I teach Math at a Continuation High School that is on a year round schedule.  So every 9 weeks we have 3 weeks off, I love it!  The only bad part is that there are no long summer vacations....

I am the manager of an elementary school kitchen and I don't work in the summer. I can garden and quilt all I want.
