Wow there are so many fabulous quilts this time... who will be able to choose one single one..

Love them all and wish we all could hang them together. Would not that be a wonderful sight.

It's become evident that I will not get MQ6 done in time for judging.  (This is becoming an old tune.)   Got other things with deadlines. Like a wedding coming up.  That's my priority now.  I so enjoy seeing every one's quilts.

I am in the same boat Patti, still trying to get mq5 done to take to my son in Edmonton this summer and DD wedding is less than 3 months away.

Squareitup:

Completed MQ6 and calling it CONTROLLED CHAOS.  A lot of fun and stress.  Picked a lot colors and got more nervous as time went on thinking what in hell's name have I done.  But as with most quilts, they all come out great and the more colors the more interesting.  Early on I decided to go solid with the borders and then added all those extra HST's we had from the leftovers.  They were either now or never.  So now I need to pick backing and get it quilted!  (and gets Nana's scrappy quilt done)

This was my second mystery quilt and more fun than my first because I got my sister to do one with me.  Hopefully she'll post hers tomorrow.

Thanks t o Sandy for moderating and everyone for the tips, hints and great conversations.

I love the HST's set in the black border.  Nice job!!

I like how your dark Xs make your colors look like pastel jewels.  Very pretty.

MaryAnn, your striped border really draws out the colors in your top.  Very nice.

Everyone's quilts are beautiful. There is no way to pick a favorite.  I have enjoyed doing my first mystery quilt - can't wait until the next one.  I finally got mine finished.  Decided I wanted a second border and had to wait for the fabric to be delivered.  Here is mine - Jill

Really pretty Jill. Great Job!

Cindy:

Just finished today.  This was my first MQ and the largest quilt I have made so far.  What a fun way to make a quilt!  Thanks, Sandy.  I'm trying to pick a favorite.

I'm looking forward to MQ7.

Everyone's quilts are beautiful, it's amazing what different fabrics can make the same pattern look so unique. I thought I had mine done...stitshed the last border and went to press it and ...OH NO... there were two blocks that had a small cut in the top of the blocks. Back to the machine and the frogger. Picked them out made the new blocks and fit them back in. It wasn't hard to do just time spent redoing .. I hate redoing. Anyway it's done and here it is.

Oooooh pretty.  I just love the yellow background!!!

Finished!  This is absolutely my favoite.  Made with Civil War time period reproductions.  Hope to give it sandwiched today and then start the quilting on my new Handi Quilter Sweet Sixteen sit down.  Everyone's quilts are stunning.  This was a great Myster, Sandi.  Thank you for hosing.

Wonderful quilt Penny.

I'm still working on mine.  I've just got to get the last 2 side borders on it.
