Zsofia-
The dark background allows it to work without a border. The light backgrounds would look unfinished I would think. I am working on mine but will need to stop soon to go buy DH a new recliner. I think it is time. He won't buy stuff like that for himself but I am pushing him. I know he wants one from many comments he has made.
Carol,
Love the brights in your quilt. Good job!
Beautiful, Carol W. Love your colors!

WTG Carol W. I love the way the bright colors all pop on your quilt. Great job!
Zsofia:"Call me Crazy"
I wouldn't call you crazy. I'd call you smart like a fox. That dark color background sets off the scappy block beautifully. Congrats on a great looking quilt.
Wow Carol!! I love love love you top! I am a huge fan of bright colors!
I have the top put together. Still don't have a border on. Can't quite decide on a fabric yet! Lol. I have it draped over the rails on the long arm so I can keep waiting for it to talk to me. So far I'm just hearing little whispers. Lol.
Zsofia I love you quilt too! The background is so dramatic!
Nancy,
No power for the computer near most of the bookshelves. That is the way we do it between classes. She scans, I read the title off the computer. It takes a fraction of the time. But as long as she has students in the library, books to computer it is.

Carol and Zofia, those are so beautiful. I have a dark back ground fabric as well and I plan to add a thin inner border of a bright color, and then the dark background for the outer border.

Very pretty Jeanine. Your contrast is wonderful between the background and the blocks. Great job.
Not crazy Zsofia, I don't plan on a border either. I am still trying to get my blocks so the fabrics are not side by side. hard without anywhere to really lay them out and no design wall.
Lovely Jeanine
Pretty! I know you dont need any help picking out your border, if anything I need your help. But.... when I open this and saw the little bit of blue from your back board I really liked the look. Just my too cents. I still need to sew my side panels on still. I think I need yellow-organish color. to contrast my background fabric and bring out my 16 patches but.... then my butterflies look like they are going to fly away and I feel like I need to tone it down. haha well back to sewing and contiuning to assumtion that people just dont need points
