I am home from work and am so excited about the last step!  Thank you Sandy and Missouri Quilt company.  I love this.  It is so pretty.  Was such a fun project. Everyone has such pretty fabrics and color combinations.  Can't wait to see the tops when they are finished.

didash:

@ Cheryl D - Hey! Don't forget about me! I was second on the list! LOL!!

@ Dara - The College Memories Quilt is 12  18" blocks with a thin border and then a wider border. Don't have the finished dimensions in front of me but somewhere around 64 x 82. I'm using a very plain light blue backing fabric and giving her a fabric pen with the quilt so she can have her friends "autograph" the back of it. I think she'll like it.

Diane, Your niece is one lucky lady.  I can 'see' it and it will be beautiful.  Please share pictures when you can :-)

I'm really glad you all like the finished MQ6.  There was a lot of repetitive sewing but it was an easy pattern that became a great scrappy quilt.  I am really anxious to see all the quilts and especially the ones that were pulled from stash.  I hope everyone will post their finished tops here as soon as they are finished so we can all enjoy them.

I have opened a new thread in the Group for you to post pictures for the Viewer's Choice.   I know you want to tell everyone how beautiful their quilt is, but please don't post any comments in the Viewer's Choice thread as it makes it hard for everyone to see all the quilts.

For you newbies, here's the rundown on Viewer's Choice.

  • You will have until June 15th to finish your top and post a picture in the Group (it does not have to be quilted)
  • Anytime between June 15th and June 22nd you can vote for your favorite by sending me a message via Friends
  • I will tally the votes and announce the winner on June 25th.

Thanks to all of you for another fantastic MQ and a special thanks to Missouri Star Quilts for this beautiful pattern.

(PS:  Watch for MQ7 in the Fall!)

Half-way done with the final step, calling it a day.  Love hearing about everyone's experiences with this mystery quilt, and can't wait to see everyone's quilts.  Hope to have my posted by the end of the week.

Thanks, Sandy and Missouri Start Quilt Company.  I don't have much time to quilt, but the mystery quilts 'force me' to take the time.  I've really enjoyed this one!

Special thanks to all the service men and women who unselfishly guard our freedoms as Americans.  God bless everyone one of you!

Jan:
I take shelf by shelf to the computer and scan them.

Jan, speaking from experience, I can tell you that it is much faster to put the computer on a cart and take it to the shelves.  Then you only need to tip each book out far enough to scan the barcode and move on to the next.  You can fly through a collection that way.

That's sweet of you to volunteer your time in the library.

Here is my MQ6 "Call me Crazy". I'm not going to use a border I just like it as is.
