Do you have things laying around your house that you just don't know what to do with but can't throw away?  I use the plastic containers that you buy concentrated frozen juice in, cover them with contact paper to make them look pretty and stick my pens, pencils, special markers or scissors into.  I have quite a few of them so each cup has it's own type of utensil in there.  Want them to stay together standing up?  Use a Velveeta box and stick the juice containers in there.  3 perfectly fit and keeps everything I need where ever I am working.  I have several different boxes of these all around my sewing room.  Another idea just for the Velveeta box, regular sized rotary cutters/scissors fit just perfectly, keep everything together that you need.  Need to travel to your quilt club, just put the lid on and go!!  Easy and cheap and environmentally friendly all at the same time!!
