Every month when my Maltese is groomed, he comes home with a triangular cotton scarf tied around his neck. Many groomers do this for their customers. I save the triangles, wash and iron them, and put them in my stash to use for applique pieces or landscape quilts. The fabric is of good quality and best of all, it is free.
What a good idea, thanks for the tip.

That is a neat tip. I don't think those little triangles are exactly free. At least not if you have to pay a groomer as much as we do.....LOL>

they would make your puppy a nice puppy blanket, too.

Whenever Tyler stayed overnight at the vet, he came back with a scarf. I often saved them. Specially the holiday ones.

This is a great idea. When we take our Yorkie to be groomed, they were sending her home with a bow in her hair. It always knotted her hair. So, I asked if they could just use a bandana. And now they do. From now on I will collect them.
Linda,
That is the ultimate recycling! I never thought of that. Great idea...
I hadn't thought of making a puppy quilt with them, but that is a great idea.
