Thanks Max & Marie!
I can't take any credit for the colors in the table topper. My DD picked them out. :-) I thought she did a great job. I'm anxious to finish the topper but it is off to work I go tomorrow...

Dara Beth,
your blocks look great. Well done.
I love the table topper. I bought that pattern but never even opened it.
Love your pink and green squares. The table topper is beautiful. Great choice of fabrics.
Boy have you been a busy person! I know what that roller coaster feels like and it is just not one bit of fun. Glad you enjoyed your "My time". I hope everything works out for you and things settle down. I love all three patterns that you have done. Dresdens are so pretty. I really love the third one. Could you tell me where I can get the pattern for it?
Hi Bonnie. The pattern is called "Crazy Eight Strip Teaser" by Jae's Attic. I got mine at a LQS for about $10 or so. They were out of the patterns when I first saw the quilt they had in the store but they ordered it for me. If your LQS doesn't have it or can't get it for you, then you can search for it online. Be sure to use the whole name when searching 'cause even then you can get some sites that have nothing to do with quilting. You can also find pictures of finished toppers in lots of different colors. It is really quite easy to do, it just looks complicated. The pattern called for making 6 strip sets. You are supposed to be able to get 2 dark and 2 light large triangles cut from each of 4 strips and use the other 2 strip sets for the 8 small triangles. I found that after making my 6 strip sets, I was able to get 2 dark, 2 light, and 1 small triangle from each of the 4 strip sets. I got 2 dark and 2 light small triangles by rotating 2 of the strips before I began to cut. Then, it only took about half of the 5th strip set to get the other 4 small triangles. Now I have 1 and a half strip sets left over. I'm not sure how I'll use them, but I've seen some toppers that used multiple color combinations so maybe I'll save them for another topper.
Dara - your July blocks are fantastic and love the colors in your table topper - it is fantastic too - great work! I know your pain in the selling house dept... I just got my Mom's house on the market in NY... hoping to sell it quickly but the real estate broker isn't excited about that happening...says the market there is terrible - I am hoping iwth this house that someone likes it and wants the land that goes with it... hoping...
Thea, I certainly understand what you mean about the real estate market. Each property is unique so generalities don't always apply. Think positive. There are always buyers out there. I'm sure the right buyer will come along. I'll keep you in my thoughts and keep my fingers crossed that you get a quick sale. Hugs!!
August BOM is up and running
Thanks Annie... Just printed it for tomorrow. :)

Thanks for the heads up, Annie! I got in and got the directions printed.
Here's my August stars.
Some seams and points don't exactly match, but I won't be re-doing these. I like my wonky stars much better!

Max, once again, your B&Ws are gorgeous. I am looking forward to seeing the entire quilt all together.
Max, I love your B&W blocks! The way you mix your prints is very pleasing to the eye.

Max, stunning August stars!
I too just love the way you use B & W's together. I had never even considered doing a B & W quilt until I have seen what you have done with these blocks! I have a small black and white project planned as a test run. We will see how I do...lol!
