Hi everyone! I am basically new to quilt making. Last quilt I made was very simple and 33 years ago. I inherited approximately 2300 EPP one inch hexagons all ready to be pieced together for a quilt. I am going to piece them together in groups of 3 and applique to center of a quilt block. My MIL worked on these little hexagons for several years and just had a few squares done before she passed away. So it is my duty and pleasure to try and make something out of them. It just has to be the best kind of quilt to start on after all of these years. LOL!! If I can do this then i can do anything!! Right?? At least that is what I tell myself. This site is a wealth of information and that is what I need for sure. ;o)

EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
this quilt is going to be beautiful the colors are really vibrant.
do these have the papers in them still? if they do, the easiest way to sew them together is to leave the papers in and hold the two pieces right sides together and whip stitch them. it goes quickly, because the papers help guide. once you have one in the center, you can remove thepaper and reuse it. i have a tutorial on here some where, i'll try to find it. there is a way to secure the ends so that they are always exact. be back in a few, hopefully with the tutorial.

Wow! Those hexagons can't be more than a half an inch in size! Thank goodness these are a smidgeon larger. She did use paper and they are all done and ready to piece. But I will have to make some new leaves so I am very happy to see how you did this. Thanks!
Welcome Jennlala.
