Hello everyone!  I'm Heather, from Texas!  I'm 31, married and have two sons.  I still consider myself a beginner quilter, but I'm learning as much as I can!  I have completed a Bob the Builder wall hanging and a California King size quilt and have about 10 quilts that are WIPs!  Along with quilting, I enjoy crocheting and cross stitching, but I've always wanted to learn to quilt and glad I finally had the chance to learn!  Hope to "meet" you all on here and can't wait to chat about quilting!

Heather,

Texas

Welcome, Heather! You have come to the right place, the people in QCA are a great bunch of caring,  knowledgeable, helpful and friendly group. You made a California king quilt and ten others and you still consider your self a newbie. That king would have scared me. Show us some pics in your gallery. Looking forward to chatting with you. There are some others here from Texas too !  Susan, Jacksonville, Florida

Hi Susan!  Yes, I made a California king sized quilt, but had to tie it, it was sooo big!  I always like to jump in with both feet!  LOL  It was a memory quilt for my sister-in-law with all of her kids hands and feet prints and I cross stitched their names in blocks.  I have 10 other quilts, but none of them are finished yet!  LOL I sometimes feel like the queen of UFOs because I have so many projects going and none of them are finished!  I will try to add some pics to my gallery soon.

Welcome Heather, you are not alone.  I have a ton of UFO's and I just keep starting more.  I have 12 that need to be quilted, one on the frame in the process of being quilted, one that I am almost done piecing and the start of 3 others going right now.  Sometimes I have trouble deciding which one I need to work on next.  I just completed 6 placemats (if my daughter's MIL wasn't leaving to return to Britain tomorrow I am sure they would still be in my UFO stack.).  Here it is almost the first of December and I still need to complete 2 more sets of placemats, 4 pieced pillows and at least one quilt which I haven't even started.  We are a great group of procrastinators.
