This home is on the historical register in our town and is a great little Victorian home.. Its as close to my dream home that I can get without winning the lottery....yeah!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Marge... I love this home and just had to make it mine and save it,,, its just a old victorian...
Congratulations!!! What a treasure. Do you need any room mates?
It looks like the owner kept it in pretty good shape. That is a lot of roof to re-shingle. Too bad you are way up there...... my son works for his BIL who is a roofing contractor. I hope you will post pictures as you make the house your own. I want to see some quilts hanging up in there.
Kelly - Congrats on the home!! I love all the old fixtures and especially all the old wood work! It is an beautiful place!!

this house has boiler heat.. has anyone lived in a home with boiler heat? do you keep warm?
Congratulations Kelley.
Gosh it has been so long since I lived in a house with radiators - - like probably 50 years. I seem to remember that it was really warm by the radiator but cold on the opposite side of the room. I know you don't want to hear that. :o( The dogs will probably camp out by a radiator on cold Illinois days.
How about quilts on that beautiful stairway??
Thanks kris.. This has been a dream of mine to get a home like this and we are going to reduce our mortgage payments by 500 dollars a month and get a 1000 square foot bigger home...lol..
Marge (AKA Dimples): I seem to remember that it was really warm by the radiator but cold on the opposite side of the room.
Well thats ok because I am going to have a back up gas heat and air installed on first floor...
Gorgeous home. I know you will have fun doing all kinds of neat decorating. I have always loved Victorian homes. Congratulations.
