Nana:
I bet she has lots of stories to tell.

That she does!!  She is not sure about traveling by car so far  but is trusting that if this is meant for her to do, God will find a way for all of it to pull together. She has some health concerns which keep her from making plans too far in advance but knows that something like this requires planning,

Let me know if she is in.

Thanks.

Nana - thanks for posting the address of the house.  Now I can check out the best way for Joni and I to drive up on the computer.  I have already dug through my maps in the car and don't have a VA one but I plan to check out Dave's stash.  Since we went to Williamsburg it would seem like we would have a road map floating around somewhere.

Got my fabric and sketched my block idea but probably won't bother to start on those until after the dust settles from the holidays.

If you can't find the address listed as Virginia Beach check under Sandbridge.

Good.  I wasn't sure if they used Virginia Beach or not.

I have a suggestion, can we make a retreat group where it would be easy to fine all retreats by their names and once the retreat is over...say about 6 month then they could be archived.  It would be so much easier to keep track of them.  JMHO!

Question?  I understand we are to do an eight inch block, is that 8" finshed block or 8-1/2"to given. given.

I have found a stunning beach scene that I would like to give as a block, is that acceptable.  This is another reason for making a separate group for retreats, possibly a place to post all requirements and other pertinent info.  Trying to look thru 63 pages for info, names, addresses etc...it is rough for moi!

How does one go about creating a group on here? I expect to make the one here in the Smoky's an annual retreat.

I absolutely love the idea.  One group that would include all retreats and perhaps include events and quilt shows.

Mary, I am gonna miss all of you so much. I was looking so forward to that.  DH said perhaps we could come up to Townsend (the quiet side of the Smokys) and drive up to say Hi to all. That way, as least I can meet you all. We will just have to see how things go.
