I am thinking that everyone can pick whatever block they want to make and then use the beachy colors. I have been thinking 6 1/2 in unfinished blocks so that anyone that wants can also add 12 1/2 in blocks to give their quilt for even more interest.
I am thinking about doing a few appliqued 12 1/2 in blocks to mix in with the sampler blocks. Maybe a lighthouse, a sandpiper, and seashells.

Hi, If Nan rides with me, maybe you could ride north with her since she's closer to you and all 3 of us could go together. I have plenty of room and lots of room here for you too as an overnight guest with Nan. You two get together and then let me know. I like to drive most everywhere I want to go. I was in upstate NY last month for 2 weeks and drove both ways by myself.

I appreciate the offer but I really think that DH will be coming with me. Also I will be picking up Gini at the airport. I do know that Nan is trying to find someone to ride with. She lives at the TN / GA border. Maybe you could get in touch with her and work out travel plans.

So from the looks of it, there are only three spots left to make the 20. The three guys can hang out together --- or maybe we should recruit them as go-fers and cooks. :o)
I think I may have confused Nan because at first I told Sukochi that I would be coming up I75. Then I realized that we took I85 when we went to Jamestown. That puts me way out of the way to be any help to Nan.

Barbara and Nana, I am thinking more and more about coming to this retreat. If I don't come now I may never have another opportunity to go to Virginia Beach. If I have to cancel on the local retreat I will. I am crunching numbers to see if it will work into my budget. Barbara, I don't mind driving my Escape. We will have to pack a little better than we did last time. If you need to borrow a large suitcase I have one you can borrow and then will not have all the small bags we had in the car. We will work things out. I am hoping I will have my shoulder done sometime in November or early December and I will be recuperated by then. Let me know when you need the money, Nana.
