My name is Audrey but I go by AudieSue on my lists. I just heard about this site from the Brother-Elissimo list. I know nothing about quilting and am anxious to learn. This person said there were how-to videos on this forum so jumped right on. I bought a quilt kit from Nancys Notions but thought I'd learn how to cut, sew, set points, etc. here before attempting anything on my own. I am delighted to find this group!
Welcome, Audrey, Some of us have gotten on Jenny Doan,s Quilting Quickly1 at the Missouri Star Quilt Co. She is a wonderful down to earth instructor on basic piecing skills. You will have access to the courses all and any time you want. You can ask questions and she will answer back. She will introduce you to quilting tools and notions etc. that you will need for her projects and for basic quilting. Go to Craftsy .com and you will see QQ1 course. I,m sure once you make your first project you will be hooked on quilting. There are a lot of wonderful people in QCA who will be glad to share their knowledge with you. Do not be afraid to ask and there are no stupid questions. Will be looking forward to chatting with you here. Good Luck, Susan, Jacksonville, Florida

Welcome! The only way to learn is to start and it seems you do not have any issues jumping right in. You'll do fine with quilting!

gini in north idaho
Thanks for the welcome Susan. I am beginning to question trying to quilt; why, I don't know. Maybe the fact that we had to put our beloved Kalley down this morning has something to do with it. The only thin I know about quilting is how to make sure you are cutting ongrain. I guess all I can do is try!Audrey
