I like to hand quilt, so I keep my needles in a case reused from mechanical pencil leads. They work perfectly, and I can label the side with the size and type of needle. The ones from erasers work well too.  It saves space in my sewing box rather than the cards of needles. Its easy to find the right needle for the job whether I'm paper piecing, appliquing, or quilting.
