Sue, nice cabinets!  You can see what you have and they keep your supplies dust free.  Looks like you have very obedient critters, since you all faced the camera at the same time for this shot!!

Beautiful shelves Sue!  I'd put them up as one of the "best on the block!"  Animals all seem happy with life too!  I think the best thing is that you sneaked a picture of a QUILTER  - That doesn't always happen.  Everyone seems happy with the photographer!  The other thing that's really cool about your room beside the bright window is that your sewing machine floats in the room - not tied against a wall.  It makes you look very free and leading a quilt which is DANCIN!

Lol thank you. My fabric is dwindling though. I had to cajole my mom into buying the chair for xmas two years ago. She even bought a warranty on it because of miscellaneious reasons in my household with three cats and for stains lol.

Yeah my boyfriend actually comes up with useful ideas when we have the money to do stuff. We got the wicker for free from his dads neighbour he was going to toss it. Ry was like hey Carey can use this to store quilts and fabrics in by her table. Plus he is really cool he helps me design sometimes and pick colors. He has an artists eye as he used to paint and would like to again when we get money again.

Sue, I love your shelves, all that natural light, the ironing board and it's "ornament".   I could just grab her through the screen and hug her!  What wonderful and loyal critters you have!

Sue Wagner,

How did you get all the helpers to look at the camera at the same time? Can't even get kids to do that! That kitty is adorable. Does he/she do ALL your ironing or is he/she still in training?

Love your shelves! What a great hubby you have.

Snowbird Quilter:

Patti:  I'm really worried about the batiks that I put in my leaf quilt.  I'm afraid they will bleed color.  I brought home the black batik that I bought at the retreat and  washed it in hot salt water and then hung it on my outside line in the hot sun.  That seemed to set the black.  I always wash fabric, but I didn't those batiks.  I guess I'm giving all of the PNW retreat girls a heads up.

Snowbird, I  was going to suggest the same thing as Patti - she beat me to it.  I would think the strong and dark colors would be the suspect ones. I think I might pre-wash the red and black ones I purchased...just in case.

Great sewing room, I love the animals. I have old pillows in my sewing room for my cats dispite my husband shaking his finger about no cats in the house.  I close the doors between my room and the house and they come in and keep me company.
