Well,  I didn't work on a quilt yesterday.  I spent most of the afternoon working in my flower garden.  Trying to thin out some iris, planting hollyhocks, transferring bee balm, and digging up glad bulbs -- of course that was after weeding the whole thing.   Then I came in and was going to make a skirt for my great granddaughter and while going thru my fabric, I sat on the bed and next thing you know I was waking up -- in the sewing room on the daybed.  So I got up and went to bed and didn't move all night.  Still had the tv remote in my hand.

Today, though I am going in the sewing room and make that skirt.  I promised that little girl.....Ginny

I started cutting pieces for a batik quilt and pressing a quilt top that is ready to load on the machine yesterday.  This morning I had a Dr. appt and then came home and mowed the lawn.  Now I'm thinking about having lunch....then maybe I'll get back to the sewing.  That's my plan and I'm sticking to it!

I've spent the better part of the last three weeks cutting Granddaughter's soccer shirts apart and fusing them for this quilt top.  All it needs now is the final black narrow border.  It's huge.  96 X 105.  She told me "The bigger the better:  It's for sure bigger.

She saved the shirts from the time she was 9 or 10 through high school.  She plans to have this at college.  It will fill her dorm room I'm a thinkin'!

I told her my rule is:  "NO BOYS" are to ever be under that blanket.  Just her girl friends.  "NO BOYS"!!!!!

Suzanne Kistner:  That's a great project to work with your sister.  And such a distance from each other.

Post pictures when you are able!
