I still have to cut my background squares since this has been such a busy week, with me working 8 hours instead of six and extra things going on. I just printed steps 1 and 2 and will have to be careful with my groupings but I think I alread know how I want to group the fabic so that is good. Excited to see how this goes and am not worried if i get behind.

I am so excited I have never done one of these before and so looking forward to it.
I've printed the first steps and will take that with me to the NW retreat. Those of you who are done with this week's, why aren't we seeing pictures?

I still need to get my fabric. I feel so left behind.
Grandma Sal:Kris, I have seen mention of a retreat... did you tell us about a retreat and I missed It?
Grandma Sal,
I'll be attending the Pacific Northwest retreat in Leavenworth WA with several other QCA-ers. It starts Sunday and runs through the week. We're all abuzz and have been talking about it for some time.
Wow, finally got in here this evening. Got the directions printed out, but haven't touch the fabric yet. So all you overachievers good luck! The rest of us will catch up, sooner or later. lol

I put mine in media for you :)

I haven't done any cutting yet, but I'll get there!
Here are the groups of strips I came up with, laid out on background fabric - looking for feedback:
Part of me thinks that's just too much yellow but it's so cheery & not all beige (I'm usually more comfy with natural neutrals - the browns & greens are more "me").
I'm not sure which bottom fabric is better for the top right group - here's a closeup:
I like the yellow but I don't think it contrasts enough with the background, so would the multi stripe be better??
These are my leftover strips - since I haven't done any cutting I can still make substitutions (trying to avoid the yellows for more contrast with the background):
Thanks in advance for any feedback & advice :-)
Cathy D, I can guarantee I will be behind before this is over LOL

MNnancy, all mine are already in baggies sorry
Welcome Texasgranny
Eileen, your fabrics all look great I think I would go with the stripe
Eileen, it is very yellow... do you have a green or rust that would work for the background?
I am so lost since there are NO pictures... I'm hanging around to see if anyone posts a few photos so I know where to start and what to expect. These are the fabrics I set aside for my quilt...
