I have worked on a quilt today.  I have made 5 big six pointed stars and almost have all 5 blocks completed.  Now I have to decide how I am going to put it all together.  Not sure what I want between them.  Still thinking.

Hi Janice.....Yes that is my new machine in the background.

That's terrible if you don't have any class options, but you know us girls had to drive 1 1/2 hours to take the purse class....It was fun, like I said it was a day out and another bonding day as if we really needed more bonding.

Our town has a population of about 4,000 and we have 2 quilt shops and a separate all purpose sewing shops that carries a lot of notions and stuff and also more quilting fabric.  We all so have a small Quilting Guild called Sunshine Quilters Guild with about 35 members.   The borrowed foot seems to be working fine...it will do until I get the one that goes with the machine.

Joni:

Help!  What is the Nuance fabric?  Refresh my memory Pleeeeeeeeeeease!

Joni, So nice to hear the horses are doing well. I hate the shedding season, even with my dogs. I can relate to spitting out hair for hours, and of course for me they're all in the house so there's no escape. Maybe that's why I have managed to collect 5 vacuum cleaners.LOL. Of course I have to use them. LOL

I'm attaching a pic of Nuance fabric. You are most likey talking about cutting your own "kaliediscope"  pieces. But just in case I'll attach a pic. This is actually a  line of fabrics with panels that I have seen some really pretty quilts made with.

Stephanie - there is no way I could cut into that gorgeous piece of fabric.  I would have to frame it :-)

Nana,

I first saw this at the LQS when I was collecting my Lovely as a Tree fabrics. There is a whole collection of this on Hancock's of Paducah website. It's a Benartex fabric by Paula Nadelstern called Nuance. It would make for a quick quilt project with the Kaleidascope panels. I think one of our members made one and posted it in show and tell a while back. I do love the aqua, purple, black combination. I may have to add it to my stash collection. I just checked back so I could put the right info and saw they have a free pattern to use the collection of fabrics. Here's another pic of that.

I love the colors in this piece of fabric as well.  I will have to check out Hancocks to see what else is offered.

Gini,

I think so. You can see all the line at www.hancocks-paducah.com . I hope the link works. They actually have several color variations, but this one I had actually seen and it is beautiful.

Kathy, I know. Sometimes, beautiful fabric  really is hard to cut into. I had that problem with my fabric for our first MQ. It had these beautiful bouquets, that  kept saying no, don't do it. LOL

Gini, I hear what you're saying. I went through my stash today and washed about 20 yards today and have 4 actual tops going right now.
