MNnancy:

Ms MoomMist:
Enjoy! and MNnancy you live in the "Land of 10,000 Lakes" there should be some fish that you could substitute?

We certainly enjoy our share of fresh walleye and northern pike, but they are always cooked.  I haven't heard of anyone eating them raw.  It's quite a treat when the fish market gets in sashimi-grade tuna or salmon(quite rare) because we enjoy making sushi.  I've never eaten it without it being rolled in the seasoned-vinegar rice.

ah oh, just got this from a friend of mine in England, don't know when this was made but it was interesting to me because DH loves fish and seafood. Me ah not so much!

MMM

Wow.  That was very interesting.  I don't eat seafood and fish very often but I never realized that this is an issue.

below are some of the winners at the puyallup fair

Gini - that gate is magnificent - would love to see it in person.  Isn't the Puyallup Fair just the greatest?  Those quilts are fabulous - haven't been there for about 6 years and I took lots of pictures of those quilts.  it was definitely quilt overload trying to see them all.  I love that hanky quilt.  Glad you had a good trip to the westside.  Marge P

marge, we always have fun in seattle.   we drove along the water from the tacoma narrows into bremerton, we haven't done that trip in years.  the weather was perfect.  rainier was out, the olympics were beautiful, we even got glimpses of baker.   we got to spend an evening with old friends. doesn't get much better.

this was a cool gate we saw on our trip this weekend.

Very cool. I want one like this for my place.

Those quilts are so beautiful. I hope to produce something like this appliqué quilts one day.  I also have pans to do a pickle dish quilt. Thanks for the photos Gini.

well i have a call into the dr's office......I have started having slight sinus drainage.....i think it's only due to allergies,  and not a cold......but I am concerned because of the surgery on thursday....We live 1 hour and 15 minutes from the hospital and have to be there before daylight thursday morning....since it is only sinus drainage I am wondering if they will go ahead and do the procedure.......so now I wait....and I hate to wait!  I have year round allergies but I was not having drainage with the first procedure......so here I sit and wait for a call back!

a pickle dish quilt

Kris, I had to google to see what a pickle dish looked like and it's beautiful. But i would never in a million years attempt  to do one myself. I'll just wait and enjoy yours.
