Big news!  Kathie Lee and Hoda  (Today Show) just announced that today is National Chocolate Day!  Rejoice!

They are sipping on a chocolate cocktail, but it looks clear.  What could it be?

And, I am all out.  It looks like I need to go on a chocolate shop hop to celebrate the day.  Wil and I are going out to check into a long board, he's a chocoholic, too, so we'll stock up.

Mystery solved - it's a martini made with chocolate vodka - yes, it's clear.  Guess I'll be heading to the liquor store instead of the candy shop.

Well, I guess it's time to break out the bottle of "Old New England Chocolate Egg Nog" that I was gifted with last Christmas. Actually it was tapped earlier. You can't believe how great it tastes when you put it over a dish of vanilla ice cream. Mmmm.

Mmmm, I love egg nog and have never had a chocolate variety.  What time will you be serving dessert?

Anyone who lives nearby, dessert will be served about 7:30 pm. And I might even serve some chocolate peanut butter cookies with it. As a matter of fact a complete dinner of chocolate might not be a bad idea.

I know of a friend whose husband complained that she never made anything chocolate. One night she made him a complete meal of chocolate foods. He learned his lesson.

I had a cup of hot chocolate when I got up this AM and I bought a Mounds bar at the pharmacy. I'll have that after dinner.

Funny story; the candy bar rang up as $10,000.000! I asked the cashier if that was how much I won for choosing that candy bar. I want chocolate but not that badly. We had a good laugh.

Wow Kris a $10,000 candy bar, that is funny.

How have you been feeling since you went back to work?  Painless I'm praying.

Marie,

the pain is slowly coming back as I've done a lot of walking, transporting patients and fighting with the ED this week. We've been really busy. I don't think this will will ever change for me. I just have to learn to manage it.

Chocolate day?  And the only chocolate I could find in the house was the special K with the little, mini pieces of chocolate.  But there are the snickers candy bars in the refrigerator.  But DH would know if I  took one.  He's saving them for breakfast when he leaves a 5 am for a long day in the field.

Bummer Kris.  Is there anywhere else in the hospital you could transfer to with less stress on your body?

Boy I am always a day late and $l short.   I did eat some hersey nuggets last night, so guess I didn't miss entirely. Just didn't know what I was doing.  I am putting this on my calendar so I don't miss it next year.

Kris I didn't know you had been on the sick list.  Hope things calm down for you.

Happy Chololate Day everyone
