I saw a wall hanging - a memory type quilt - it had quilt blocks, plus plastic cases for pictures.  Has anyone ever seen something like that?  What is it called or where may I get the pattern?

CarolH--

Here's one example.  You could make similar, or almost any  block, leaving the center plain and cover the photo area with a stitched in vinyl pocket that would allow you to insert a picture.

What a great idea!  I've wanted to make some sort of photo quilt for my 2 sons, using school pictures, but don't want to wait until Graduation to sew it together.  I could do something like this and just add a picture each year.

thanks for the inspiration!  I love how this place helps me solve my quilting dilemmas!

Hi Everyone--

Just wanted to clarify that the quilt picture I posted was an example I found online, not my creation.  I found it quite inspirational as well to use for a photo quilt where you might want to swap out the photos from time to time.  I think there is one of these in my future.

I think I will try this for my daughters' next Christmas gifts.  I'm running out of new and inspirational ideas, and I think this will fill the bill for this Christmas...maybe even for my nieces and sister (and sisters-in-law).  What a great idea!
