I began about 3 years ago with a beginner's quilt class. I finally finished that quilt 2 years ago. I have acutally finished 3 quilts and have about 7 tops that I'm not sure are ready. My stash is not overly large as I don't have much room. I tell folks who come to visit they have to give me 2 days notice so I can move all the fabric out of the guest room and off the bed. I don't mention the 3 walls covered with works in progress. I like bright colors and have difficulities with juding the dark, medium and light of really bright colors. I don't know where the love of the brights originated within me, up til now I was always pastel. My DH is supportive, he doesn't understand the cutting of material into little pieces then sewing back together. He is very literal minded. Other than that, HI, glad to make your acquaintence and I hope we all learn together.
Hi Aleea. Welcome.
Welcome, Aleea :-) As long as your DH lets you cut & sew - and buy more fabric - he doesn't have to understand!! Glad you joined us in our quilting obsession!
Hi Aleea! You wrote a cute intro. Judging the value of different colored fabrics is something many of us are working on. As long as your DH remains supportive, he doesn't need to understand.
Your cat has a very expressive face. Ask him/her to come over to "farmyard animals" and introduce him/herself.

It sounds like you are truly addicted to quilting! I tell my DH I don't understand his obsession with drag racing and he doesn't have to understand my obsession with quilting. It keeps us both happy.
Welcome to the group! this is a great place to be.
Aleea Brewer: HI, glad to make your acquaintence and I hope we all learn together.
Welcome Aleea, glad to make your acquaintance as well. Most of us can relate to all of what your said so you will fit in nicely. Enjoy!
Welcome. Hang in their with the lights and darks, I've found the more I play the clearer it gets. I also have a supportative DH who wasn't to sure about the whole cut it apart and but it together, but I'm blessed that the art teacher in him is very useful in learning about color, tints and tones.
Welcome to the site. Hope you enjoy your time with us. I also think it is harder to judge light, medium, and dark with bright colors. Hope you will share pics of some of your quilts with us.
Rose , I and my late hubby were very big drag racing fans so I did understand his obsession with it ...Unless you have ever been to a big event I don't think any one can realize just how awesome it really is... ..Barbara
