Eileen:
you really will work your charity quilt pile down in no time

I did two more quilts tonight.  I am now resting...both my wrists and my feet.  I did 5 charity quilts so far and I think I am ready to tackle a customer quilt tomorrow.  It is only my sister so she should be forgiving if I have any issues.  I have 3 quilts from her but she is a paying customer at least!  She could do it herself but would rather pay me to do it so I don't feel bad charging her.  She is mostly a knitter and prefers that over quilting.  My mom has one, too, that I will do for free.

I guess I'll get the backing ready for the quilt I will do tomorrow.  I will switch off quilting with setting up my database for my business.  I bought the Quilters Management Application  when I was at the MQS last week.  I just need to figure out what to put in it.

Eileen, I've made 20 DJ blocks not counting the Papa's Star that drove me totally insane and the Good, Bad & the Ugly that is a reminder to pay attention and read the directions all the way through before cutting. LOL

When I was very ill in 07, DH passed a yard sale, he "breaks" for them lol, he found this book for me. Now I must remind you I was half starving to death because of a hole that was in my digestive system during surgery, and couldn't hardly get from my bed to the bathroom let a lone make a quilt. But he had faith and conviction that I was going to be okay. So now I can make one of those beautiful quilts. The link here is for Amazon.com and you can get the book used for as little as $1.88 it has about 15 different patterns all of them red, white and blue. That price is even cheaper than what he paid for it, I think he said he got it for $2.00. It isn't a paperback it has a nice hard cover.

Good luck !! I would love to see some beautiful red, white and blue quilts!

Ms MoomMist,  Thanks so much for sharing the origination of the starry log cabin quilt.  I ordered the book at Amazon.  Thank you so much.  Of course I couldn't stop at just one book.  That's what happens to me when I go on Amazon. LOL

Does photographing and uploading phiotos to this site qualify as "quilting"? LOL

I bought more fabric last night so I can rev up the machine this afternoon when the predicted rain boots me oput of my garden!

Day 6 working on Starry Log Cabin. The next time I do a log cabin, I'm only using the number of fabrics as there are logs. I'm totally lost for any kind of organization on this one lol! I have 20 blocks done... ah that is 60 to go OMG, this may take awhile. I'm headed out to the sewing room to iron a bolt of muslin and measure some quilts for backing. DH will help me measure when he needs a break from yard work. It is 78 outdoors and 77 indoors, what a change. Still to wet to mow, but at least the mowers are getting repaired.

Have a quiltin' day!

I will be working on my photo memory quilt some more today as I watch the Preakness.  With my husband on yet another work travel trip, this is the best time for me to get a lot of quilting in.
