Yes , I did the same quilt as the one yesterday. I am trying to get it finished finally quilt top wise anyway. So I can post a picture of it in the gallery before I finish it off and give it to a friend of mine for Christmas. Working on the star blocks right now. The original is a lot easier than the adapted version of the one I am working on currently as it just uses fabric to do the work but I wanted to save on some of the fabric and make two of them one for him and one for myself lol. So I changed the quilt blocks on some of them.
Jeanine:I made a flannel baby quilt this weekend. This was ordered by a coworker that was very picky so I hope this will be ok for her.
It's a very cute quilt Jeanine. I think she'll love it. I love the frog fabric and I like what you did with the back. WTG.
Carol:Also, I made the next step on the Quilter's Newsletter Mystery - only one block, but look at it!
Lovely block Carol. Very nicely done.
Darlene:Had some problems with the weather creating a mess in my basement and have been bailing water. Not safe to sew in standing water and no place to relocate tonight so no sewing.
Sorry to hear this Darlene. I hope you didn't lose anything valuable. Here's hoping for drier weather and sewing locations.
Carol the block is beautiful, so awesome, your colors are so pretty!
Thanks Kris (and everyone else) for your concern and well wishes.
I found a safe, dry environment out of my home last night to set up camp and a helper to finish the top, tie the quilt and pin the binding.
The finished product is posted in Show & Tell, but here is a picture as well:
This is the back (which is bordered by black but I couldn't get a wide enough angle to show the black)
Tonight I attach the binding and it is done!
Thank you all for your encouragement during this painful process. He knows this is coming and he is antsy to see it. Glad it is not at home so he can't peek.

Beautiful quilt. I love the backing.
I'm a little late weighing in on this quilt, but have to say it's wonderful. Very nicely done!
darlene, great quilt.

Very nice, Darlene
Pat, it is exhausting just to read about all your endeavors! Phew! If it wasn't hot before, you have generated enough heat by your energy alone to light up a Christmas tree! I am jealous of your get up and go, because mine has got up and went.... ;D
Thanks, Gin and Others - Darlene is right, the positive feed back is what we all need to keep going! I had a post all ready to send last night, and then hit something wrong, and it disappeared, and about that time, a big clap of thunder startled me, and decided better unplug the computer - had already stopped sewing cause I knew it was coming. We ended up with 1 1/2 inches of badly needed rain, it kept on most of the night, and they say coming again tonight. Anyway, what I said was that I had worked on the mystery and got the blocks together. Picked up 3 quilts from the LAQ, so have them to bind now, also still have to bind the one I just finished hand quilting, for the Fair (21 Aug) Oh, finished the baby quilt I handquilted, too, and got it bound.
The other thing I was going to say was that the desert-like weather we've been having this summer, my "Desert Rose" thrived better than it ever did--more flowers, see?
Pretty crazy quilt Darlene. Your son will love it. I like the backing as well.
Your rose is beautiful. WOW. All of my flowers dried up and died...LOL
