This is a quilt I am calling "Charmed for Charity".  The quilt retreat I sponsor every year is doing "A Charmed Retreat" this year.  This is our 4th retreat and I have always tried to keep the retreat something that we do for ourselves...not for charity.  But people have been asking for a charity connection so this year I am going to accept orphan charms from attendees and write up the pattern for this quilt so that whoever wanted to participate could help make a few of these to donate to Project Linus.  I had to make one up so I would be able to write the pattern.

Two months until the retreat.  We are entering crunch time to get it all organized and ready to go.

Marie:
Kris, I'm not greedy, I'll share, six months here and six months at your house.  Fair?  We'll flip for who gets it first.  To be fair Gini will flip.  Would you like heads or tails?

Definitely fair. I'll take tails.

I worked on some hand appliqué while at work. Nothing big. I need to get started on my leaf blocks.

Jeanine, the quilt is so bright and cheerful.  i love it.

I have not really worked on quilting for awhile and I am itching to get back to it.  We got the guest bedroom, our bedroom and the hallway painted.  Now we only have the bathroom and the kitchen left to paint but that is on hold for a little while.  DH wants to put in a new medicine cabinet and selves in the bathroom for more space, and he wants to at least put up selves in the kitchen and possibly replace the stove.

We leave for our trip to Montana a week from Saturday so i am busy making sure we have things ready for that.  The dogs had to go to the vet, plus we have to board them while we are gone and well there is just so much to do.  My job is having a mandatory work day this Saturday so that is one less day this weekend that I have.

My goal is to at least start back on my Underground railroad blocks this week.

Gini, Kris took tails so you could flip that coin and I hope it comes up heads for me!  I'd love to have that quilt hanging in my LR for the holidays!

Jeanine - Beautiful quilt.  I did a similar one using scrap strips with my mother-in-law with the saching in black.  The two of us finished it in one day.

On the Did you work on a quilt today question - does after midnight count as today?  Cuz I was up until 1am finishing a sandwich so I can quilt it this weekend.  Does that count?
