welcome cheryl.   i love to make baby quilts out of minke and flannel.  i  don't use a pattern / just a yard and a half of mike and 2 yds of flannel, then tie them  theya re quick and easy.    after all the quilts i have made for the kids, their "minkies" are the favorites.     another type of baby quilt i like to make is 6  inch squares of alternating minke and flannel, then quilt.     they have so much texture and are so soft for babies.    out of the left over scraps of flannel, i take  two rectangles with batt between,   quilt them very heavily( this is great practice for different stitches), bind them and give them for gifts to new moms as changing pads.  they don't need to be a particular size, just big enough to fit under baby.    they are really soft , heavy duty, and can be thrown in the wash.    mom's love them, because they are so much better than the ones you buy.   gini
