Glad to be a member. Just lost my job after 18 years december 31st. The good news is.....I now have more time to quilt! My husband only lets me connect every couple weeks, but look forward to hearing from you. I've been quilting regularly for about 18 years now. It was about -30 last week and not looking good for this weekend. Luckily I have quilts to hide under!
Linda

Welcome LInda. I lost my job almost two years ago now after over 15 years with the company. Nice thing is I have more time to sew now. Bad thing is that I don't have as much moola to spend on my fun.

Gini, I LOVE your avatar!
thanks linda, we don't have nearly as much snow this year, but with the pile from plowing the roads, i have built a pretty impressive snow fort. gini
Yes Marge-I know what you mean........I won't be going to Houston again.(Darn it-at least I was able to go before I lost my job). Some people never get to go so I consider myself LUCKY.
Those plows can do a formidable job of plowing in our driveway. Did you decorate the walls with quilts yet? Who took the photo?
Hi Linda, welcome to qca.

Hi Linda, from another north country girl. Today wasn't bad, temperature wise, but I guess we're going down in the basement again this week. It will be nice to see sunshine after ten days of gray, but sunshine in January means C-O-L-D!
Lucky you with time to sew! (Like the old saying, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade). I'm counting the weeks until retirement so I can get more quilting done, too.
Welcome to QCA!

Welcome, Linda :-) Sorry to hear you lost your job but glad you're putting a positive spin on it! I relish my quilting time when I can get it & can't wait to retire and have more time, but that's still 10 or more years down the road.
Where is Michigan are you? I have relatives in Grand Rapids. I'm in Chicago.
QCA is lots of fun so look around and jump right in!
