Gini--

Love your Hawaiian table runner--beautiful quilting.  Hawaiian applique is on my to do list for the coming year, so I might have to pop over to your studio for lessons.

IMHO I feel the background is way to busy for the blocks..it detracts from them and they should be the focal point

I agree Helly, Hawaiian quilts have a very traditional look.

Gini, your table runner is beautiful.  When you get tired of starting at it, send it my way.

That is very pretty, Carol.  I like the idea of the print but and the color but I'm not sure that is was was meant for these blocks.  I wish I knew what she was going to do with them or had a pattern from her.  Maybe adding a print in the border or at least an inner border to tie it all together.

Gini -

That is a beautiful tablerunner and a LOT of quilting!  Did you do this on a long-arm or your regular machine?

Well, then, that is just crazy!  LOL  I don't even consider that as an option in my mind.  It's beautiful.

jeanine just made it official     i'm crazy.  :  )

about three rounds into the quilting at 1/4 inch i realized i was crazy all on my own.  i know i'm not the only one to get my self into these kinds of pickles, i just wish i could figure out why we do these things to ourselves. it certainly wasn't the first time a good idea turned out to be way too much work,   the sad thing is i'm also very certain it won't be my last "booboo".           gini

These are QUILT AS YOU go type techinques... Done by Georgia Bonesteel lap quilting,  Marty Michelle Quilting in SectionsFun and Done Quilt Patterns....

It is really hot method right now with a lot of quilters who can not afford using a long armer and do not want to struggle with large quilting.   Google QUILT AS YOU GO.... and you should find lots of tutorials.

Good Luck with your project

Happy Quilting
