Jeanine

Why not do two different colors of sashing but make them smaller?  So instead of making a two inch " sashing--- make 2 one inch sashing of 2 different colors sewed together or whatever size you want just two colors.  Or if you could find the "right" stripe or plaid with all the colors of the blocks- you could cut it so it would be on the diagonal and that would be really pretty --like they did on some the MQ#3's.  Just a thought---  It might make it too busy I don't know- but I am just throwing all ideas for you to think about at this point-----

I was so busy at work that I didn't see this post before now. I posted some stuff on QAYG a while back but the tag search isn't working for me right now although I think you've already gotten some great info/advice.

I love these blocks and I especially like that there's a Breadfruit leaf block and an Anthurim Lily. Reminds me of home. The Anthurium Lily is usually exported from my homeland to other parts of the world and I really enjoy breadfruit.

Ok I saved it as a word document and will try to post it as media here and see if you can view it that way- sorry for the wait- I had to go to my laptop to do this-its newer than the other computer I was on previously. OK if this doesn't work I am slicing off my fingers w/ the rotary!

Kris

I am so glad. LOL-  I really need them to sew two quilt labels- and wrap a few last minute presents.  I am glad I didn't have to cut them off -that would be painful and I would have to go to ED. No thanks. Ha

this is a hawaiian table runner i made.   i did the echo quilting at 1/4 inch,   bad decision.  traditionally it is done at 1/2 inch and  that makes it half the work . sorry about the pictue quality, it sits under a shelf and doesn't have good light there.      gini

Really beautiful table runner Gini!  A labor of love with all that echo quilting.  I think I'd frame it and hang it on a wall in an entrance way for all to admire.

Jeanine, I made one like this - with each block a different color - and I sashed it with a print that had every color in it.  Might be hard to find just the right fabric though.  I haven't gotten mine quilted yet but will try to get a pic of the quilt top so you can see what I am talking about.
