rhonda, i hope your migraine goes away soon gini
Marge do you have any ufo's perhaps you could work on? A book that sounds good to read or some hand piecing? I will sometimes listen to music/sermon/etc while I machine or hand sew. I have also found that since I am not longer working that I write to some of my relatives back in Iowa. If those don't work perhaps watching some movies?
What sermons do you listen to? I have lots down loaded onto my Ipod. Yesterday I listened to Mark Driscol of Mars Hill Church. He is pretty good and very passonate (can't spell). I don't know what I would do without my Ipod. It took me a while to figure out how to use it though. I am not currently a premium member but plan on signing up very soon so I can watch shows while I quilt. I need to increase my skills in fill-in and back ground free motion quilting. I only do a few patterns and it is getting boring.
for fill in patterns.. try triangles..squares/rectangles..pebbles...
Thanks. I want to watch some of the videos to help get a hang of how others doe these patterns. I think I am more of a visual learner in these areas. Isn't it great that we have so many resources available to us? My grandmother taught me to quilt using templates cut from cereal boxes. I would sit in front of the TV and draw around them with a pencil and cut for hours. It took me probably a month to get enough squares for a quilt. It makes me wonder how many more quilts she would have made if she had a rotary cutter and rulers. Thank God for progress (most of the time).
Need to get some sewing done - I could "talk" all day but this does not get my quilting done. Maybe they could come up with a way we could all video conference while we are sewing. It would be like a retreat on line. Maybe some day!
liz i posted a video here that showed a bundh of different stitches. i don't have time to hunt for it right now, i'll look when i get home gini
Marge (AKA Dimples):e you by chance had issues with this person before that she would be that cruel or is she just an insensitive clout?
She's just insensitive. She's been on this shift about a month or so.
Rhonda Laws: I am off to take another injection and lay down for a few. I sure hope this one works cause I can only take 2 in a 24 hour period...please pray ladies.
I hope you find some relief soon. It seems you've been headaching almost daily. I used to be that way but, thank God, my neurologist and DO have them under control these days.
Praying for you.
go to Day Style Designs for free motion filler videos.
Marge (AKA Dimples):How will I be able to survive without my daily "fix" from all my friends at QCA????
I hope you find a solution to your problem soon. If not you can immerse yourself in some quilty projects and come back with some fabulous show and tell.
Here it is 2 PM and I have been doing everything but quilting today. I am going to take the next couple of hours and work on my string quilt.
Everyone Keep warm, keep safe and have a good quilting day
