The problem is there are 13 blocks in the quilt (I made one) and the border is paper pieced (in miniature)!  I don't have the patience for that right now.

Jeanine:

I quilted my 10th quilt on the Millenium.

I made the binding and attached it including hand sewing it to the back!  Yeah!!!  Ready to take finished photos and mail to my sister.

Didn't get much quilting done at group last night. This darn cold weather is playing havoc on my Arthritis in my back. It hurt too bad for me to sit and sew. Today I had to cup Jello. and that didn't go too well either. now I am having back spasms . I went to the spa and got in the hot tub. It helped a bunch. Hopefully after PT tomorrow, I will be able to come home and start working on the quilt again.  IS IT SPRING YET?!

Jeanine,

Another beauty. The gold thread looks amazing, and I really like the design you used for the quilting.

Diane Morgan:
FL is the only state in the nation that didn't get some sort of snow. Crazy weather.

We (Florida) haven't had snow, but I'm starting to wonder if we might. We may go down to the twenties this week. In the 27 years I've been here I don't recall ever having such a cold winter. After reading about water pipe problems, I wonder how much ours can take. They do everything with pvc plastic down here. Just have to hope for the best.

I can't imagine 24 inches of snow with six foot drifts. Have you still been able to see out your windows? I can't imagine trying to commute in this.

The thought of a miniature hasn't even crossed my mind...no way! BUT I would love to watch the progress of yours...Curious...how long did that one block take you?

rhonda, it takes about the same amount of time to make a  block that is twelve inches as it does to make the same block in miniature.    gini

I'm not sure because I did all the cutting, too.  It's not so much the time but handling the small pieces and getting the seams to match.  It the block I did, I had too big a needle so I did change that out and started a second block.  That seemed better but you just have to be so much more careful on the miniature blocks because you don't have any extra "fudge" room.  It takes more patience.  And for what?  You have a little 14" quilt to ???  I guess just to say you did it.

Ok Guys...

I have come up with the perfect plan for all those UFOs we have hanging around nagging us.   We can send them all to Jeanine and she can quilt them and send them back.  Would be really great practice for that new business of hers.  What ya think ......sounds like an awesome solution to all our problems.

Granny M

You're in luck-the days have just warmed up here! late afternoon we were in the 60's! My feet are no longer freezing here tonight and its been a long time since that's not happened. I don't know how long it will last so come on down! Yea baby!  You are right- I was sitting at my mother's desk where my laptop is- with a quilt over me typing-oh you know me so well! LOL The mornings and nights are still cool though-

I am so glad you have a "back door" you can use if necessary for your daughter if she doesn't want to cooperate with you. Do what you gotta do. LOL

OMG- Kids- you are so right- if I had only known--at least Ms. Trixie and Ms. Cricket don't backtalk-

Stay warm!
