Hi 2 all,
I am a retired RN and "discovered" quilting by chance in February 2009. Where y'all find the time to do everything is beyond my comprehension ... There is so much on QCOA to see, learn, and do, that I will have to set my alarm to remember to surface in time to prepare dinner!!
For now I'm diving back in ... don't expect me to surface again any time soon ...
Calano1,welcome to the club, I just started quilting this past Feb. and I to wonder how they get so much done. You will love this site and it is very addicting. Everyone here is so nice and the help they can give you is amazing. We have very good particpation is most of the groups .Hope to see you drop by and chat with us often..Barbara

Welcome Calano, my by mileage you must be the furtherest away from the USA maybe except for some of our Australian Quilters.
Pictures please, we also thrive on pictures!
Wow South Africa! I think we may have to rename this club as we are getting so many to join in our fun that are outside of America. I'm glad you have joined us. I love your little avatar. It is a little sewing mouse - right?
Welcome to QCA. Hope you enjoy the site. I too am a retired RN.....what a great profession. I love quilting and talking quilting. Would love to see pics of some of your work. Hope you drop by and chat with us frequently.

Welcome, hope you get a chance to check into QCA often. I think you will love it here because everyone is very helpful, talented and NICE. We love to see each other's quilts and wallhangings etc. and drool! This site is very addicting and lots of fun. Now although I am still a newbie, I can't imagine what I did without it! Enjoy this site and welcome! We love newcomers!
Welcome Calano. We have one other member from SA but I can't remember who right now. Glad to have you with us. I, like Gini, don't sleep much so I can do more.
Welcome to QCA, Calano! I have to admit that I spend more time "chatting" on this site than I actually do sewing, but I'm hoping that will change once I'm retired (April 15, 2011!) Everybody here is s-o-o-o friendly!

Thank you, Barbara! I don't know any other quilters, so I will most definitely use all the advice I can get!
Thanks for the welcome, Joni! I'll post pictures as soon as I get up to QCA standards! :) In the meantime I enjoy the eye-candy others provide!
Thanks for the welcome, Dimples! Yes, my avatar is a sewing mouse ... it was just too cute to pass by!
We have no standards. We love everything that is posted. I bet you have some beautiful quilts that you could share. Don't be too critical of yourself.
