I have not yet received the latest issue of Easy Quilts. My sister in Georgia got hers last weekend, so I thought it would be here by now. Anyway, I thought that in the meanwhile I would look at the issue on line, I've looked at them before, but I can't seem to find them. Can you point me in the right direction?

Is anyone else having difficulty navicating this site? I'm not computer illerate but this is one of th emost confusing site I have ever been on. Anyone who can enlighten me? I haven't realized any benifits from upgrading my membership. I have till August 13 to figure this out before I buy again. Any help would be greatly appreiated.

I posted in the main forum but then realized Admin probably wouldn't see it unless I posted it here.

Admin:

You may be interested to know a potential premium membership was lost today. I had recommended QCA to a fellow quilter. She called me today and said she was trying to get on and couldn't. She thought she may be doing something wrong. I told her there have been frequent problems with the site and hopefully it would be taken care of at some point but it had been ongoing for some time. She decided not to join at all.

Plus, if the problems don't get ironed out, I'll probably drop my premium membership when it comes due in the spring. I love this site but can't see paying for something I can't always access.

It's not necessary to send me the standard reply "We appreciate.....we're working on the problem.....yadda yadda". I already know all that. I would like to see results, not pats on the head to appease me.

How to add Borders to an 8 sided tree skirt

I need to enlarge an 8 sided tree skirt to go around a 10' tall tree. I would like to sew 3 different borders together and add them to the tree skirt before quilting it. How do I make sure that that the borders are long enough to miter in the corners of each turn? Aslo,how do I get the miters perfec t on each corner? I am fairly knew at quilting so I'm at a loss as to how to make it happen. Anyone know how to do this?

I was looking it up and it states : You'll receive a Welcome Letter in the mail - Within six weeks you'll receive your Welcome Letter which includes your Membership Card and instructions on how to use the site and register for your Jo-Ann's VIP Discount Card--I still haven't received.

I cannot sign up to QNNtv.com. I use the shopping cart, and whether I try and pay or use the shopping cart with coupon it tells me my cart is empty. I am very frustrated. I have emailed them with no reply. Any suggestions?

Welcome Packet not received, plus not receiving QCA newsletter

Hi -

I renewed my premium membership in December. Shouldn't I have received something in the mail by now, a welcome packet? I have in the past years but I think in the past I've had to give a "nudge" to receive it also.

Secondly, I'm not receiving the QCA newsletter to my e-mail, although it isn't being blocked. Something happened to my hotmail a while back and I think a lot of stuff got knocked out permanently. Could you please check and make sure I get the newsletter to my e-mail address which is: woodswoman55@hotmail.com.

Maybe I am old, but it burns me a little bit when I have a subscription to a magazine and I see it on the newsstand before I see it in my mailbox. Years ago, if you had a subscription, you got it before anyone else could buy it. Today I went to Barnes & Noble and saw the new issue of Easy Quilts on the newsstand. I figured I would get it in my mailbox today, at least. Nope. No such luck.

To me there are two reasons to subscribe to a magazine: 1) it's cheaper; and 2) you can get it before nonsubscribers. After all, the magazine company already has our money for an entire year (or more). I've in essence pledged my loyalty to the magazine; I should get it before those who have not.

This isn't the only magazine that does this, so I'm not necessarily singling Easy Quilts out. It's just a beef that I have and I needed to vent. And electronic access doesn't count...I like having the magazine in hand. It's easier to leaf through and read that way.
