On my red white and blue I thought of quilting a flower in middle of blocks , but had second thoughts because its all bound and thought I would ruin the look. Next I'll be marking quilting lines on my Nephews quilt that has been hanging around a while. Has anyone ever made a quilt with a circle in center then it builds with multi color diamond shapes on rings around just wondered how challenging that would be I forgot the name of that pattern but I think it ends up looking like a star?

I'm still working on Mystery Quilt #8. I'm going to get it done if it kills me. lol I'm working on making the rows of the blocks. Middle rows all done. 9-patch rows are all done. Now to do the HST rows. Then to put the blocks together. I'm going to take it to Nana's tomorrow with me and my Featherweight. I WILL FINISH IT>

What pattern is that, I have some lovely Hawaiian fabric that would make a gorgeous purse...that purse to be exact. Beautiful job you did, it is gorgeous.

Quilted Hugs from Maddie gave donated quilts to ornado victims in Adairsville, Georgia last tuesday. The psor was bery pleased. The pastor asked if it would be okay to give to a 98 yo woman. She has her house rebuilt so now she has a nice new quilt. We did not get to meet the children but school was still in session. For those of you that donated, it was trulyappreciated.

Thanks for that link, Karla. I went to the 'Free patterns and tutorials' section and found a video on 'installing' the grommets. I've made several bags with grommets and it never occurred to me to stitch around the circle before cutting. All that comes to mind is... Duh! I need to make another grommet bag now!

To make that url a link, highlight it and copy and while it's highlighted click the little chain icon to the left of the filmstrip (not the broken one) then paste the url you just copied in the top box.

Karla, what pattern did you use to make your purses with the grommets? They look fairly simple. Ginny

Letty's Little Bag for the small ones and Letty's Bag for the large one. They are both by Robin Gallagher of Robin Quilts, etc. The website is http://www.RobinQuiltsetc.com. They were fairly easy, especially the small ones.

That's a good idea, Patti. Maybe I should set that same goal. Of course, I haven't quilted the leaf quilt from the year before, either.
