I take all the non-quilt fabric that gets donated to my quilt ministry and make pet beds with our scraps. Shelters have asked for pet quilts but I can't go there. I need to focus on quilts for those we are already helping. There is always so much need and not enough volunteers but we do what we can.

Sweet little critters just hoping for some love, a warm bed and something to eat. I already make beds for our local shelter out of my "ugly fabric" and stuffed with scraps, so won't take part in this one. But I'm sure it's a great organization.

My Brother and Sis in Law volenteer as foster parents for CAWS. They have sent out a request for Doggy blankets, to be made of Purple, Green or Orange Fleece and measuring 26 x 40 to fit in the kennels. I thought I'd share their need in hopes that maybe some of you other gals will help 'em out. You can learn more about the organization at www.caws.org.
