My first baby quilt was made with a rail fence-- 3 different fabric strips 2-1/2 in wide sewn together then cut into rectangle. They surrounded the center motif panel and was a smash. I have seen several different patterns but was curious as to what everyone else makes. All I have done so far is quilt with squares which is fine but I am not sure on what size squares to use for a baby quilt or anything so if anyone has any helpful advice I would appreciate it.
