Sandra, you are right when you say" what used to be a small town". It has grown so much in the past 10 years. Both Howell and Brighton have grown enormously from what they were. Still has that small, hometown feel downtown though. They are lucky to have 2 or 3 quilt shops there though. That is where I used to have to take my quilts to be quilted.

I love your art quilt that you did. I'm still getting down into becoming more familiar with the more traditional quilt styles. Ginny

I grew up in what used to be a small town called Howell. It's in lower MI west of Detroit. Our family used to vacation near Muskegon years ago.

I love Lake Michigan.

Lake Michigan is beautiful! I pass through Howell frequently on the way to Detroit or Ohio.

Your quilt is beautiful!

Thank you for your kindness. This was my first attempt years ago at the thread painting. I would like to give it another go on another small scale quilt or postcard.

Sorry, this picture is just too big. I will have to resize my pics. Anyway, here is one of my art quilts. It only measures 8" X 13". I am using it as my profile picture.
