I agree. Those big bucks with all those antlers aren't good meat for human consumption. It has a very strong wild taste and is usually on the tough side.

you probably don't want to hear this nancy, but the first and only time sam brought home a pair of antlers and thought i was going to eat that meat, i set him straight right quick. the meat from one of those old bucks is awful, it doesn't even make such good salami. we only eat bambi's and they are yummy.

I was thinking of the buck as a guest, not the dinner.

Not to say we won't eat venison, but we are glad the hunters missed him this year.

aww cute good work :). I am hoping to get my computer fixed this month or a new one depending on stuff going on around here. I have been working a ton of fill in hours ie on call. Due to losing normal client loads from the agency. So I am actually able to get more hours this way currently for awhile anyway until my normal client base gets back to 30-32 hours. So we can get caught up on bills.
