Has anyone received their spring copy of easy quilts? I have not an I thought I had read some comments on the spring issue. Ginny

I got mine Monday and finally had time to read it this morining.

This is NOT one of my better days. Yesterday was even worse. I can't even type right now - constantly hitting wrong keys or leaving out letters! Yesterday morning I felt like I had been flattened into the mattress and had to peel myself out of it!--only way I can describe it. Arms and legs felt extra heavy. That was when I decided that my body was weather forecasting again. All day I felt like a bowl of quivering jello - not much visible trembling, but mostly internal. Those days I can't even grip a piece of paper in my left hand. Have spent the whole week in the truck but have only done 2 Farmer's Wife blocks. The roads are rutted and frozen so not safe for using needles. Either I draw blood or loose all the stitches on my needle. Used my new Kindle - kids bought it for me for Christmas - and was glad I didn't have to hold a bulky book. I am really enjoying it and it fits in my small purse (fanny pack-type).

I did frogging on one quilt last night and was lucky I didn't turn the fabric to swiss cheese! It is now ready for FMQ - again - and hope I can do a smoother job today. Don't try free-motion when you are shaky! - unless you are going for varied stitch lengths and jagged straight or curved lines. I am finally ready to start quilting and it is already after noon. Looks like very late in the afternoon - very dark and gloomy. At 7:00 AM it was pitch black out there, and by 7:20 the sky was a deep navy blue. We don't see that color sky very often. Rich woke up at 3:15 AM and couldn't get back to sleep, so I couldn't either. When I did finally sleep, it was to strange, changing dreams - which means very poor sleep. Very hard to wake up after this sleep (6:30) but at least legs and arms worked better than yesterday. Yesterday the sun bothered me in the truck and today, my last day home for a while, it is so dark that I have to waste electricity in order to see!! Rich"s "vacation" is over today. After today he will have no driver and will have to do all his hauling on his own. He has been driving more than he should have this week - only 5 weeks from hip replacement - but suddenly everyone wants to move heifers, buy cows, sell cows, sell feeder cattle, etc. He still tires easily so I have to go with him to be sure he doesn't try to do too much. Dr. says he will be mostly back to normal after 3 months - another 5 weeks! Can't keep him out of the trailer, but at least he stands behind a gate. We are sure a great pair for this job - both of us with a cane, neither can run, and me with little strength or energy! Next week he will have an Amish boy to move the cattle, but I will go along to do the bookwork.

Re: What are you up to today? #4

kris, i hope the brace works for you,
