I will be praying that all goes well for you, Richard. When you mentioned that your grand daughter's husband might get "cash" out of your gift, I can't help but wonder if the part of the reason for the uproar in your daughter's life is due to an abusive relationship. One of the signs is for the abuser to put distance between the one who is abused and those they love and are close to. So please keep that in mind when you are dealing with your daughter. As for your ex - just stay out of shouting distance, and then she won't be so much of a bother (hopefully!) Lots of prayers for you - and just focus on that baby! (from now on you could have a savings account for her with YOUR name only, and on those days when it is her birthday just make a note in a card that you have money somewhere for her...and if they make demands, you can deny it and say it is "wishful thinking" so they can't get their hands on any bank info...)

Richard, I will certainly keep you and your family in my prayers. It is too bad your ex has to harbor such ill feelings, after all the party isn't about her, it's about your Grand daughter. You know my one son has an old police record too, but he has turned into such a fine man since then. Keep an open mind. mI hpoe the drama dies an early death and that you and your family have a blessed time. Ginny
