Their 25 year old daughter, Rachel, had a cancerous tumor removed from her colon but the cancer is also in her liver and lymph nodes. Many know Sara as she is a member here at QCA. Many have met her at retreats here in the Smokies. This is a precious, godly family so please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as Rachel sees more doctors and begins chemotherapy.

Joke/Inspiration of the Day #3

Hello All,

I have come up with obviously How to make an American Quilt, and A stoning in Fulham County and im presuming there must be one in Witness although i will have to rewatch the film to find out.

So how many can you come up with, and did you notice what design they were I know How to make an American Quilt had a Baltimore style, Crazy quilt, the quilt on the title, the baby quilt, and an African American quilt. All of about 5 seconds each (couldnt they have done a quilters version of the film leave out the actors keep in the quilts).

Im sure you can come up with loads.

lots of love

Tomorrow, I am going to get on the scales at work, (and this scale is calibrated and does not lie.) Normally I would weigh myself naked. But I think I better wear some clothes. The scales being in the lobby and all. Then I will post weekly what my weight is. If I get brave enough I will take a 'before' picture, (again with clothing) and maybe more pictures if I have a significant visible loss.

I hope several of you will join. I don't want to be posting alone. I think this would also be a good place to post healthy recipes we find. Including recipes for special diets, such as gluten free, vegetarian, renal diet (for those with kidney failure) and low carbohydrate, etc.

My primary motive is avoiding diabetes. Just losing 15 pounds and exercising 30 minutes 5 days a week can delay or even prevent diabetes. And I want to live longer and have a healthy heart. So maybe I will share what kind of exercise I am getting as well.

So, is anyone going to join me?

I need advice

I need some advice. I've lived in East Tennessee for 12 years now. I have had 1 good friend who accepted me as I am but she moved to California. I've tried several different groups and activities. People seem to like me when they first meet me and those few that have known me a long time have come to love me as much as I love them. It's the middle group I have trouble with. I must not be like-able at this stage. I know it's me because I'm the only common denominator. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. I am very outgoing and love to laugh. I'm not looking for complements or pity. I'm looking for advice. Keep in mind, I'm 58 and it's hard to change but I'm willing to try. I get so lonely for a friend to go to lunch or dinner with...go to a movie with...or just talk to. Any suggestions?

I am a very accepting person. I never try to change anyone...just love them as they are. I would do anything for anyone if it were within my power. Sometimes that gets me in trouble as there are some who will take and take without giving back. I talked with hubby about it and he says I am an "alpha female" and perhaps that has something to do with it. However, my very best friend is very different from me (she lives in SE Florida) and he cannot understand how we get along. I told him we accept and love one another just as each of us is. I would give up a limb for her!

I have made some very good friends through the retreats here at QCA but most don't live near me. I would love to move closer to Kathy Fritz or Andrea Dee but no way my hubby would move back to Florida! lol

Whats for dinner?

I need some new ideas. I have many cookbooks and barely use them the cost of all ingredients etc. I thought maybe I'd get some new ideas asking everyone what they are cooking today. I'm working on baby quilt while my sliced cucumber are getting ready for sour cream I'm probably making pepper steak to go with them. What are you cooking today?

My college Russian classes have finally made an appearance in

Do I think that's a bad thing. While other luxury companies are struggling, the exclusive Hermes continues to churn out sales. Talk about stunner. The body of the bag is done in the traditional Gucci pattern and is available in either brown or black. There is also a chance the bag can fit under the arm nicely. In fact, the entire bag seems like kind of an afterthought. The added hardware バレンシアガ バッグ is a little dangerous, and actually looks pretty cool. I hve already professed my undying love for the Jimmy Choo Marin Clutch, again and again and again. The Giano Miniaudiere, for example, is a divine little piece destined to see you バレンシアガ 財布 through fancy occasions galore. It popped up last week on NAP UK and this week on NAP USA. Sometimes I want a slouchy bag to offset and outfit, but some days a structured shape is what I?€?d like. Other days, she looks?€?well, like this. Not only that, but it's something that I've been wanting them to try for so long. This edgy, slick-looking Gucci tote pieces together various shades of roccia python with stunning results. The Balenciaga color hunt is never ending, but I don't think white is in the cards for me.

Some of you may recall that I made a quilt for a guy I like- not sure if anything will come of it, but I still wanted to do it. He is recently divorced and even told me that he is not wanting to get into a relationship with anyone at this time. So, I am good there. He has a business that I use, this is how we got to be friends.

What I plan to do is do a rhyming game to give him clues on what he will get later. I am planning to send a clue each month with a rhyme. What do you think? I also got a picture of a clue game and then cards of each clue person. I am sure I will have more fun than he will, but this way I am not just dropping off a quilt I made for him, he will be wondering ( or not) till then,

What do you all think? The first one I will send a towel that has some of the fabric I used in the quilt.

This is the first one.

This is the beginning of what is to come; I hope this does not seem too dumb. Five months from now you might say “wow”, you might even say “holly cow”. Each month till then, I will give you a clue. It will be up to you to decide what to do. Try to figure it out or wait to see, oh my what could it be? … This girl knows I am too busy for this, why oh why does she insist?
