Hi lollie, Thanks for the hint. I also have a small space I have a table squeezed in a multi purpose room. It serves as a spare bedroom when I have company, a storage room, I call it the room of doom. My husband put up shelves on one wall and then cubby type shelves for my material on another wall then my table & machine is on the opposite side of the room. I also have a cutting table which I let the leafs down unless I'm actually working there. That table also doubles as a place for suitcases when my family is here. I like the freezer paper ideal. Thanks.

Hi lollief, it is nice to meet you. What a great idea and a great solution to your space problem. Quilters are so creative in many ways, not just quilting.

Nice to have you with us, Lollie. And thanks for the great tip!!. I will go get into my freezer paper right now. Some of my best thoughts come when I am sewing. Of course, then there is the problem. I can't keep up with my pins, scissors, etc. How will I ever keep up with a writing pen?

Small sewing space

All I have for sewing area is a 48" x 24" desk and my sewing machine must share the space with my laptop and a lamp. I placed a large sheet of freezer paper under my sewing machine, and now can "slide" my machine back and forth easily on the desk top. Also, I can write notes all over the freezer paper; tension notes, last time I changed the needle, Internet Sites, notes to self, ideas that come to mind while sewing, etc. Hope you try this!
