And thanks for the great tip!!. I will go get into my freezer paper right now. Some of my best thoughts come when I am sewing. Of course, then there is the problem. I can't keep up with my pins, scissors, etc. How will I ever keep up with a writing pen?

Re: Small sewing space

Welcome Lollie. Great tip.

Re: Small sewing space

hi lollie, welcome to the group

Re: Small sewing space

Oh, Lollief, I feel for you! That's a pretty clever idea, though, making the best of a tough situation. Welcome to QCA! I hope you'll come chat with us frequently. We'd love to know where you're from and what type of quilting you like to do.

Re: Small sewing space

Wow, Lollief, you have made the best of 2 worlds with your solutions. Makes me almost wish I could do the same. Ginny

Small sewing space

All I have for sewing area is a 48" x 24" desk and my sewing machine must share the space with my laptop and a lamp. I placed a large sheet of freezer paper under my sewing machine, and now can "slide" my machine back and forth easily on the desk top. Also, I can write notes all over the freezer paper; tension notes, last time I changed the needle, Internet Sites, notes to self, ideas that come to mind while sewing, etc. Hope you try this!
