I was on another forum recently that had the following rule, which seems like it might work really well for this site at preventing all the spam we get on the blogs. As much as I'd love to browse through the blogs, every time I go, it's just a bunch of spam. For that reason, I tend to completely ignore this aspect of the site, which is a shame...

Anyway, the rule is this:

For new accounts, the first post that a user makes gets moderated and has to be approved before it becomes live on the site. Would something like this be helpful in preventing the tons and tons of spam we get on the blogs here?

Is ,when you go to the blog section ,it's all that junk stuff that nonmembers put on there trying to sell stuff. It just a pain in the rear.

Oh Thea I know your right ,they just bug me to no end. LOL but Your right ,I know Mandy is on top of it , as well as the other gals ..

Is that whats causing all the problems on the site. When you pay for membership shouldn't it be safe from that.

Barbara - we seem to get it in waves - I am sure QCA Mandy is working on it and I think we should let them do their job - reposting the spam doesn't really help just takes up room on the blog which could be used for better things... like those political discussions that Gini said to let go - teehee - or a religious discussion... Spam - I just ignore.

Mandy ,there has just been a ton of this Spam junk in the blogs ,seems llike they are taking over, hard to even find when our members are writing. Please we need them gone .Barbara
