Thanks for replying. I just called a sewing store they told me to copy design in printer then actually sew the design on my machine using the copy of paper? wouldn't that hurt a regular home machine?

You can free hand it, or copy it and stitch it without thread in your machine and they pounce it.

I have at least two books on quilting motifs I haven't read yet. Here is my question. I see the motif in the book how do you put the image on to your quilt for stitching?
