I think the large prints for the outsside of the carriers and the small print for the inside. that is what I thought of all along but just didn't voice my opinion until now. Good luck.
Belfrybat - I think they all go together - there are colors in each fabric that coordinate - I would have to see the pattern to see just how big the pieces are to say whether they would look good next to each other or not. It is very hard to say. Sometimes you think something would stink and it amazes you just how good it does - but your fabrics all coordinate.

Thank you everyone for your feedback. The pie carrier is 25" square. The fabrics won't be next to each other. One will be on the outside and the other the lining. I had thought the floral for the outside and the circles for the lining of one and the circles on the outside and the small honeycomb print as the lining on the other. However, I have plenty of the honeycomb and with the guidance I'm getting here I'm now leaning towards using it as lining for both the circles and the floral. It's busy enough that I think it won't show stains too much.

Re: Matching fabric

Belfrybat - I think they all go together - there are colors in each fabric that coordinate - I would have to see the pattern to see just how big the pieces are to say whether they would look good next to each other or not. It is very hard to say. Sometimes you think something would stink and it amazes you just how good it does - but your fabrics all coordinate.

Re: Matching fabric

I'm going to be the kink in the chain. Sorry, but my first response was that the floral and large circles do not go together. All three fabrics are pretty, but I would match the smaller honeycomb with either of the larger prints.

Both of the larger prints are competing for attention here. The smaller print gives the eye a place to rest.

Re: Matching fabric

Belfry bat

Just my 2 cents worth, but I think all three fabrics work in any combination. I personally would probably use the small print as the lining paired with either of the others as the outer fabric, but the two bolder fabrics would work together, too. Colors in all three are similar and the pattern differences add interest.

Re: Matching fabric

I love to do colors, (Not Scrappy) so my choice is to use the floral and the circle teal/blue brown/ olive as outside fabrics, both will be wonderful with the honeycomb fabric as the lining. That as a lining will not show stains.
I really like all three of these fabrics and if you have left overs they would be beautiful as a tote bag, all together floral as the main piece, circles as the accent and the honeycomb as the bottom or trim, or pockets, then a soft blue or olive tiny print to bind the top and use as lining.
Hint pre wash before cutting and use a med to light weight iron on stabilizer to keep these fabrics from shrinking any during all the use they will get. I know the casserole carriers call for batting, necessary to keep the foods hot, or cold, however over the years of use the one with the stabilizer added still look good, others I still use but they look worn.
Breathe..... have a wonderful sewing experience.

Re: Matching fabric

i can't see the small circles, but i love the floral with the large circles.

Re: Matching fabric

Personally, I would stick with the floral and large circles. They're both beautiful prints. The small circles/honeycomb just doesn't do anything for me...just MHO...
