Here in NW Arkansas, I get Fons and Porter on ch 21 (Dish network) on Sat morning, 9 AM Central, if that helps.  I thought the same thing, we all enjoyed learning from F&P when they began, now we have to let the younger ones learn with Mary, right?

Does anyone know when I could get  any of the quilt shows on TV in Dunedin, FL?  I'm having withdrawal symptoms, back home in MA I get a few.

Marie,

I did a google search yesterday and it showed that there were no episodes of F&P in all of California at this time.

If that helps :(

Hello,

If you are missing Fons & Porter's "Love of Quilting" on television you can find information about your local station at www.pbs.org. I know in my area, we have 4 different PBS channels. If your station doesn't carry it, call them and request for them to start showing it again. Let your voices be heard.

Me. too, in Kissimmee, Marie.  I stumbled upon an old "America Sews" episode the other day, but that's the closest I've come since moving here.

I have quit watching the show now that Liz is gone. The daughter is just too trendy and inexperienced in my opinion.

Jake,

Please relay my best wishes to your mother in her retirement!  What a wonderful career she has had and how fortunate we quilters are to have learned so much from her.  She was ever so gracious to me, my daughter and my cousin (flew in from Oregon) several years ago at the Houston International Quilt Festival.  We visited Liz out on an open balcony at George R. Brown Convention Center while eating lunch.  We live just a few miles outside Houston.

Joyce,

I'm in Orlando, next to Kissimmee as we've talked before, and I do get the quilt shows. Quilt In A Day, Sewing with Nancy, America Sews and the Fons show. I have U-verse and I use the search programs to find the quilting/sewing shows. Hope you get them soon.  Good luck.

hey, ladies, take a gander:

"As you all probably know, Liz retired to spend more time with her growing family and get a few holes of golf in that she didn’t have time for before! But you know she’s been sewing by the quilts you’ve seen of hers in Love of Quilting and it was a real pleasure to welcome her back for 2 special episodes that will air in Series 2000 this fall!"

this is directly from the blog on fons and porter's website!  fear not, fans~ liz porter is back in the house! (at least for 2 episodes!)...i know alot of you will be tuning in!

They are running the 2000 Series on "Ready TV" which is part of the PBS package on digital tv.   I think it also runs on cable but if you go to PBS's website it shows up as one of their affiliates.    Liz will be on the show with Mary next week doing the Milky way quilt.
