Do you mean paper piecing Adele?

There are lots of tutorials online. I learned from a book called "Show Me How to Paper Piece" by Carol Doak. I really enjoy foundation piecing. I've also learned to do it with freezer paper.

Adele - I have done a lot of foundation piecing - when I started Sylvia's bridal sampler that is how her blocks are done.  It is very similar to paper piecing but the foundation is left inside the quilt - I drew lines for the pattern on muslin and sewed on those lines... you don't sew from the back as you do with paper piecing you sew on top of the foundation and fold the fabrics back in place and sew the next one one on - it is very precise and if you don't mind the extra fabric in your quilt is not a problem.

Thea,

have you even used "Fun-dation"? I sometimes use it for foundation piecing. It's very light weight and can be left in the project or it can be torn away. Works really well.

I never thought of using it for the SBS blocks. Good idea.
