My reason for being up at 3am is that I can't sleep. I still haven't gone to bed yet. I'm going to try shortly. After I got home from work I made another SBS block and cut a DJ block. I also drew some blocks in EQ7 for a quilt I saw online during the shop hop (which I've almost completed).
Finding the MQ3 instructions was just a bonus for this insomniac. I have some fabric choices already but I don't know if they will be what I eventually use.
Let the games begin.
Nana,
I already have a question...I tried to post it on the Mystery Quilt 3 discussion forum and I was denied access...Am I doing something wrong?
Cindy
Only Nana is able to start new threads in the group. If you have a question reply to the thread she has created. If you just want to chat do that here.
Marilyn Rosario VanWagenen: Hi Nana: I just joined the club and I am a beginner quilter, do you think this MQ will be easy enough for a beginner? I don't want to start anything that I cannot finish; though what does that matter, everything I've started I hardly finish. All kidding aside, I would like to keep up with everyone and need to know if I can do this. Thanks for your reply. Marilyn

The pattern isn't really difficult and I will be there to answer any questions and help you along the way. There are alot of HSTs but they really aren't difficult once you get started. There are also several tips posted along the way.
Just come to groups and join the Mystery Quilt #3 group and you will be able to find answers to questions and ask any questions that you may have. I think you will have fun with this.

Cindy: Nana, I already have a question...I tried to post it on the Mystery Quilt 3 discussion forum and I was denied access...Am I doing something wrong? Cindy
I think Kris may have already answered your question. If you have a question in the Group area just post in the thread that I created for questions regarding fabric and cutting instructions. If this doesn't answer your question please let me know.
I think I have found the problem Cindy. You haven't actually joined the group yet. Please click on the MQ 3 group and on the right hand side of the screen you will see a place that says Join Group. Click on this and your name will be added to the group and then you should have access to post your questions.
Please go to groups and check the disussion before cutting fabric. There is a tip or two that may help you. Also there is a typo on the Medium fabric requirements. It should read......
Medium Fabric without border is 1 1/2 yds not 1/2 yd, Sorry about any inconvience.
I personally bought 3 yds of each of the three fabrics so that I was sure to have enough in case I had any mistakes along the way.
I don't mean to be a pain, but when I try to make a post a message comes up that says my access is denied...help
I think the reason I can't ask a question is, I'm not a member of the group and the site won't let me join...so i'll ask my question here...Can I swtich the medium color and the light color without ruining the design?
You should be able to switch the two colors without changing the overall design. I will see if I can find out why you are having problems joining the group.
Thank you Nana
You are very welcome. I have sent Admin a message to see if we can find out why you are having problems joining the group.
So maybe I won't use the Christmas fabrics. My medium Chrismas fabric has 2 inch poinsettias on it and the medium fabric cuts into little pieces, most of them, and poinsettia parts are still pretty, but I would like to preserve a few whole ones.
However I do have this luscious batik I bought without a clue as to how I would use it. It would go for the medium, and I would just have to shop for a light and dark to go with it.
I think that is what I will do. Yup, that's what I will do.
I have another pattern for the Christmas fabrics. Looks like I won't get the Chrismas quilt done in time for this year. Ha! I still have to finish quilting the first MQs!

I think batiks will be perfect. Sounds pretty. I agree the poinsettas probably isn't your best choice.

I must be thick because I can't find the fabric requirements. My excuse is is it is 5pm and I have had a very busy day LOL.
