I just joined and would like to meet fellow quilters and share with others that have the same interests as mine. That said, I have an interest in quilt history and enjoy reading about antique quilts and those that made them. I attend every quilt show that I can squeeze into my hectic life. I like the look of scrappy quilts, but enjoy trying new techniques. Some I try again, others I only do once. My most recent new technique was a portrait quilt that I still need to finish the quilting portion - any tips on the best way to complete the quilting would be appreciated. I find myself attracted to the 30's and Civil War reproduction prints, but also like a lot of the newer colorful designs. I am a member of four quilt groups and spend a lot of time organizing activities for others. Contact me if you have an interest and we can get to know each other.
Welcome to QCA Pamela,You will love it here. They are alot of wonderful ladies that can answer just about any question you could have or can find the answer for you . I am fairly new to the whole quilting experience, having just started this year but I'm already hooked.I also like the 30's and Civil war fabrics, but now I'm working on my Boxy Star group quilt. good morning and welcome Pamela. Great group here, lots of support and ideas. I am always learning something new.
Welcome to the group Pamela.
Welcome to QCA. Like you, I enjoy working with repro fabrics, both 30s and Civil War, though CW is my most favorite. This site is the best I've found for "talking" with other quilters and sharing ideas. Lots of fun and help here.
Welcome to the site. We all love meeting new people and learning about their quilting. We have several groups on site that you might be interested in. We have one group...Scrap Happys...that is for doing scrap quilts. There is also a Dear Jane group since you like quilt history and civil war repro. Hope you enjoy your time here and will drop in and chat with us frequently.
Welcome to the group, Pamela. Sounds like you have a lot to share. Could you post a picture of your portrait quilt? I'd love to see it.
